About Me:

Life is a continual unfolding of spirit to me.
I am a happily married husband, a musician, an artist, a friend, and a businessman. I love it all.
I take the Bodhisattva vow to heart. I am here to contribute to the world.
I try to live in the present moment and realize my full potential as a human and spiritual being.
I view the purpose and value of art and music is in connecting with other people. So I have put some of my creative works online.
My Music
Please listen to some of my compositions.
I am influenced by any music played with passion and conviction. My music sounds like my inner state of luminosity. I hope you enjoy it.
A more formal bio: I studied music with film composer Shawn Clement and then later at the University of Massachusetts. Some of my notable credits include work with members of the progressive rock group Yes, and music featured in the Artisan Entertainment film Greenmail.
My Art
I was honored to be named the Visual Artist of the Month on Integral Naked for July 2007. I also have a piece on display at Alex Grey's MicroCoSM Gallery through September 1st 2007 for their summer show, entitled “Original Face”
The primary artists whom I cite as influences are Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Alex Grey, and M.C. Escher.
My biggest visual influences however, are the yarn paintings and beadwork of the Huichol Indians of Central Mexico, and the sand paintings of the Tibetan Buddhists. The vibrant colors and the spiritual symbolism of these two art forms provide boundless inspiration to me.

My Day Gig: a catalyst for creative individuals.
When I was 16 years old, a thought dawned on me that as a musician I would bring a certain amount of music into the world, but my reach would only extend to so many individuals.
I realized that my skills and abilities, outside of my musical talents, could bring much more music into the world than I could as a musician alone.
At that point I dedicated myself to a life of helping musicians. I decided that I would become a music businessman and would work for a record label in order to help musicians.
After college, I moved to New York and started working for a major label. I quickly learned that record labels are not in the business of helping musicians, but in the business of making money.
After a short stint at a non-profit label dedicated to preserving avante garde jazz and 20th century classical recordings, I decided to leave the record industry, settling in at a wonderful music software company called Cakewalk.
At Cakewalk, we empower musicians through technology. As the marketing director for this company I realize my dream of helping musicians realize their dreams. Almost every day I am reminded of this by our customers.
Through my career in the music industry I have been blessed to work with many of the greats.
My long-term vision
My long term goal is to start a school for creative individuals of all types: musicians, artists, writers, dancers, actors, filmakers, etc.
This school will be dedicated to helping creatives fully realize their potentials as artists and cultural entities.
The curriculum for this school will be 3 tiered:
1. The formal techniques required by each respective artform
2. The business and communication skills necessary to be successful in the artist's chosen field
3. Spiritual and psychological development to help the artist break through blocks, realize the higher dimensions of creativity, and cope with the demands of life faced by the creative individual.
I was stunned when I discovered Ken Wilber and his work with Integral University. This school seems to be in alignment with the goals I had set for what I had wanted to start myself. There is no need to reinvent the wheel. Maybe, someday I will work with him on starting an Integral Art & Music branch of Integral University.
But for right now I am very happy with the work I am doing. I learn from life every day and I enjoy getting up in the morning.
